Il fut un temps is a 25 minute farce in French, commissioned to celebrate the diamond anniversary of the twining of the cities of Chichester and Chartres, France.

 

The show was written to provide anglophone actors with an opportunity to work in convincing vernacular French on a pacy comedy.

 

Directed by Paula Tinker for the Friends of Chartres, the play was first performed in April 2019.
